Tiny Resorts — Our Story
Our Story

Built for those who know the difference.

"We started Tiny Resorts because the best places to stay were never the ones with the most rooms."

Founded in 2012 by a former architectural editor and a concierge veteran, Tiny Resorts began as a handwritten list of twenty extraordinary small properties shared between friends. Today it is the world's most rigorous curation of architectural micro-resorts — each one chosen not for its amenities list, but for the quality of experience it produces in the people who stay there.

What We Stand For

The Tiny Resorts Standard

architecture

Architecturally Intentional

Every property in our collection is selected by our editorial board for structural integrity, landscape dialogue, and the quality of stillness it produces. We don't list resorts. We commission sanctuaries.

eco

Low-Impact by Design

We work exclusively with properties that meet our sustainability charter — solar, geothermal, rainwater harvest, or net-zero construction. Luxury and responsibility are not in tension here.

handshake

Concierge from Day One

From the moment you enquire to the morning you depart, a dedicated concierge is available around the clock. Transfers, chefs, excursions, silence — we arrange all of it.

Our curation process
How We Choose

The Curation Process

Every candidate property goes through a six-month evaluation: an anonymous overnight stay, a structural audit, a review of ownership ethos, and an assessment of how the building sits in its landscape. We accept fewer than 4% of properties submitted.

Once listed, properties are reviewed annually. A single guest complaint that reflects a systemic failure — not an off-night — is enough to trigger a re-evaluation. Our standards don't soften over time. They sharpen.
